Today we will be discussing Vixen, a DC comics character created by Gary Conway and introduced in July 1981 in Action Comics #521. Vixen is Mari McCabe, an African woman who wears a magical talisman around her neck to help her use the power of the vodun: the animal spirits. Vixen has worked with the Justice League of America, the Suicide Squad, and Checkmate. Her first solo series is called Vixen: Return of the Lion (2008).
